Aloha, my name is Rhylee and I am a volleyball player who is interested in playing while I am in college. My height is one of the things that help give me a bigger desire to give it my all. I am a 5’0” setter for my high school varsity team and a 5’0” libero for my club team. I have been playing continuously for about 5 years. Playing volleyball in college has caught my eye because of my passion for the sport and the adrenaline that I feel when I play either in practice or in a game.
I am a defensive player that loves to work hard for each point. I always give my 110% on and off the court, and I try to be a leader no matter what position my coaches put me in. I try my best and be my best whenever I am on the court as well as when I am off the court. When I play I feel determination, which helps myself and my teammates push through every single point to our best.
I am currently holding a 4.0 GPA. While I am in season, I focus more toward my grades but also still focus most of my time in volleyball. School comes first, but volleyball comes right after. I love being a varsity student athlete. It helps me to manage my time better and to be more responsible for my actions and my schoolwork that is due.
When I’m not in school or on the court, I like to balance my life by giving back to my community. I volunteer at my church’s enrichment program so I can help take care of the kids. I’ve also attended the Kinoole Baptist Church enrichment program when I was younger. I am also in our school’s environmental club that goes on many projects including the Blue Planet Energy Summit. I also attend a youth group at Grace Baptist Church.
I have great passion in playing volleyball and for learning which makes me want to continue my volleyball career at a collegiate level.
