Aloha Coaches,
My name is Kalolaine Pasikala but I go by Kalo for short. My goal is to achieve a scholarship to a college where I am able to continue my education and play volleyball. How exactly will I achieve this dream? Throughout my life, I have made it a mission to achieve great grades. This includes maintaining a 4.0 each quarter, to semester, and final. I have been taking multiple rigorous college courses along with my high schools classes, which have aided my academics
Growing up, I would consistently watch UH mens and womens volleyball. This being said, I looked up to players like Emily Hartong, Brooke Sedore, and Sinisa Zarchovich, hoping to one day play like them. After being introduced to Volleyball in 7th grade there was no doubt that I had found a true passion for the sport. My coaches would describe me as an uplifting and respectful player. This led to joining a new club "Lanakila Volleyball Academy" where I was able to learn the fundamentals, the foundation of volleyball, and improve my volleyball IQ. This was the turning point for me, as I was given the opportunity to play in tournaments out of state, with teammates who would constantly inspire me to become a better player, on and off the court.
A little about myself. I love to be involved in numerous clubs, because I love the idea of being part of a group where I can contribute constantly. I am a very positive person who will always find the brighter side of situations and plans to benefit my team in whatever possible way. I would love to give back to the community that has shaped me into the person I am today.
I am always looking forward to learning from new coaches, adapting to a new culture, creating new friendships from teammates, and giving all that I can to the program!
