“The road to athletic greatness is not marked by perfection but the ability to constantly overcome adversity and failure.” (Nike) When working to achieve a goal, it is hard not to strive for perfection. However, through each failure I have had, I have learned that with every failure comes a lesson learned. I had a coach tell me to “fail harder” and I try to keep this in mind when I am working in the gym. Not letting my fears hold me back, but pushing myself to extend beyond my limits. Satisfaction comes through hard work and determination. Setting achievable goals and getting 1% better everyday is what I strive for. I aim for this mentality in all aspects of my life and I find it helps me overcome the many fears and doubts that have the potential to hold me back.
