McKayla Hymas '24 Recruiting Profile

        As I have been developing as a student and as an athlete, I remember being an impressionable and inexperienced competitor looking up to the girls who shared the same passion and drive for the game of volleyball that I do. I remember a sense of family, a sisterhood that I haven't been able to experience as I only have an older brother who has supported me through the years. As I advanced in my athletic career, I realized that volleyball is not just about the wins and losses (though I love to win), as much as it is about the connections you create with your team and the character you develop that becomes a part of you forever. I am ecstatic to see where my future in volleyball will take me and cannot wait to follow in the footsteps of the girls that I have admired. Perhaps, I can even be an inspiration for another young volleyball player someday or pass on my passion through coaching.
