Hello, my name is Mercedez Pina. I am a daughter to a single mother and an older sister to two younger siblings. Why am I an amazing candidate for your team? Because I know what It means to work hard, and I know what it means when made a mistake and to know not to dread on it. I know that hard work will pay off in the future and that's me. I work hard as a athlete, as a team player and most importantly as a student athlete. What makes me different from all the other athletes? Grown up and having volleyball by my side since 6th grade. I've learned to love this sport with all my heart. And I understand there is more to life and more opportunities with this sport. Number 1 thing I can give is my heart and dedication to your team and to this sport. My goal is to have my younger siblings to see me and achieve their dreams, to take that leap of faith and see where it goes. My aspiration is my mother, because she's the one that showed me what dedication means. She's a hard worker and was one of the best athletes I've ever met. What are my collegiate goals? My goal is to fit and play into an outstanding university, and to hopefully get a athletic and academic scholarship and to study in the medical field.
