My name is Katherine Koch and I am a sophomore at Belleville West High School in Belleville, Illinois. I am involved in both school and club volleyball, and I am a left handed 6 foot – tall right side hitter/setter. I love to play volleyball because I am highly competitive and I love the competitiveness of the sport. I also love volleyball because it is really fun and I love all of the friends that I have made through the sport. My main collegiate goal is to just play competitive volleyball somewhere in college while also maintaining good grades. I would be good candidate for a college team because I am a utility player and I am always cheering for the team whether I am on the court or on the bench. This high school season, I was on the all tournament team at the Jacksonville Invitational and the Quincy Early Bird Tournament. I earned 2nd team All Conference 2016-2017, Academic All Conference 2017, All Area Honorable Mention 2016, and the Scholar Athlete Award 2015-2017. I have earned a 5.0 GPA all of my high school career so far and I hope to continue that throughout the rest of high school. I hope to continue my academic career in college along with my volleyball career.
