Abigail Bennett '12 Recruiting Profile

To whom it may concern,
                Hello! My name is Abigail Bennett but my friends all call me Abbey. I am very excited about venturing on in my love of volleyball. I have played volleyball since 5th grade and seriously can not imagine life without it. I am a very hard worker and feel that I give my coaches all that I have . Whenever I feel that I am weak in any area I will stay after as long as it takes to get it right. Some might say I am hard headed but I call it determined and passionate. I have also played volleyball on off seasons on club teams since 7th grade. Before I entered Highschool I was playing on   16 and 17 year old teams. Last year, (my junior year) I was the only one chosen out of 4 girls from my school to play on the 18 year old team ..I was 16 at the time. I have usually played Middle since 5th grade but I got my chance to play outside in club this year. I feel like I am a real rounded player setting , middle, outside , right, but do admit I am a little rusty on Defense since I do not play full rotation. I am 5'10, 165 lbls, and pretty quick on my feet.
             I am looking for a college that fits my academic requirements for the field I plan on pursuing , which is nurse anthesist , yet gives me the chance to play the sport I love . I feel that I am a great team player and am so ready to jump right in and play  I would love to stay within several surrounding states from where I have lived , Illinois,Kentucky,Missouri,or Indianna would be great but I am open to where my future leads me also.
            My father is a over the road truck driver and my mother is a stay at home mom with my handicapped sister. She has never missed a game and I imagine she never will !!!!! I know my dad is worried about college costs so I imagine I will be looking for grants and scholarships  as I venture into this.
