Volleyball has been my way to meet new people and grow with them. Through this I met one of my close friends who passed away. She taught me what it means to work hard for your goals. She helped me learn who I really am. Having such an interactive sport, you really grow to care for your teammates and the people around you.
Winning first place in silver with my club was a highlight this season. It helped me learn that winning may be the goal but what you get out of the game is more important. Even though as a team we may not have won a lot of medals but each game I grew as a player and learned from my mistakes. Being a DS, you learn you must sacrifice a lot to keep your team playing. Throughout my career the losses and victories shaped me in the way of learning teamwork, how to lead, how to sacrifice, and the importance of hard work on and off the court.
