I am proud to say I advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and closely following the journey to a cure. Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening disease that damages the lungs and other organs. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hard at work in the community advocating for those affected. I am very interested in this foundation and get involved by listening to webinars about the new medical advancements. I also volunteer at events to raise awareness for this cause. I am an active participant because my older sister has Cystic Fibrosis. My sister is the strongest person I know and has been through so much. I know the pain and stress this disease brings to a family and I am committed to help anyway I can. When I was eleven, I decided to follow my sister's footsteps on to the court. And since then I have fallen in love with the sport. I have learned commitment and teamwork from both volleyball and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I am looking to continue my academic and athletic career using these skills.
