Hi my name is Rosalinda (Rosie) Palacios, Class of 2023, and I am a 5'10 opposite/outside hitter. Volleyball has always been an important part of my life ever since middle school. I love to play and thats why I want to continue my athletic career in college. Being a part of a team is something that I will never give up in life, I enjoy creating memories and sharing the things I love to do with a team. One thing I have been told by coaches is I have amazing flexibility and effort. Recently, I have been switched to an outside hitter for my school team, it has been a little different and weird I wont lie, but I work hard to be able to do my very best even in my not so normal position. I am willing to do anything to just get to play volleyball. Currently as a team captain for my school team, I help others. I give feedback and encourage them when it is needed. That is something I look forward to have from a team and a coach.
Not only is athletics important to me but I also prioritize my academic career as well. In my life I have played multiple sports such as volleyball, soccer, floor hockey, basketball and gymnastics. During High school, I have taken numerous mandatory Honors classes (my school doesn't have regular classes), and 5 AP courses (3 currently). I always give more than 100% effort in school and on the court. Overall, I want to continue this effort and work ethic in college and just be a part of a great, inclusive and supportive team.
