My name is Kelly Carlson, and I am a Libero/DS for the class of 2020. I have played volleyball for 5 years, and I love it more every year. When I step in to the gym I'm not only trying to make myself better, but also my team. I am a leader on and off the court, and always try to lead by example. Being an athlete has helped me interact with people on all levels and kept me organized in my day to day task to achieve my goals.
I started playing volleyball in 2013, during my club season of 2013 & 2014 I was an outside hitter and played all around. In my 2015 season I changed to libero. My 15u club team qualified through the Windy City Power League for the National tournament in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 2016 club season I played Libero. In the Fall of 2017 I played on junior varsity as a Libero, and played as a DS on the varsity team. This current 2018 Fall season, I am a starting DS for varsity.
I am looking for the best blend of high level volleyball and a academic excellence. My current GPA is a 3.65, and puts me on the high honor roll at my school. Being a collegiate athlete would impact my future in many way by allowing me to succeed in the Education/Speech Pathologist field. I continue every day to fight for success!
