My goal is to play volleyball in college. I am a goal driven individual and am always willing to put in the hard work in order to achieve my goals whether that be on the court or in the class room. In junior high, I was a starter on the volleyball and basketball teams and also participated in track, making it to the Illinois State tournament in all 3 sports. During this time, I also participated in travel club volleyball and basketball.
In high school, I decided to focus solely on volleyball in order to achieve my goal of playing in college. As a freshman, I started on the Varsity volleyball team. I started in the OPP position during the beginning of the season and by mid-season, I transitioned to the starting middle blocker position. As a freshman, I was given the "Most Blocks" award for the season on the Varsity team. I helped the team win the regional championship which was the first time my school had won this title in 15 years.
I have played club volleyball for the past 5 years. I have made the top elite team, Cardinal, since I have been old enough to try out for a travel team (13U, 14U and 15U). I play OPP and OH for this team. On defense, I usually play middle back, but have also played left and right back. I am a very versatile player and work hard to perform well in any position I am needed.
