One word that describes me is “drive” for perfecting my skills as a volleyball player. My athletic goal in 8th grade was to go to IESA State Competition for volleyball and make the Allstar team and I achieved both for my 8th grade year (2018). My freshman year (2018/19) the goal was to be a starter on the Homewood-Flossmoor volleyball team, which was met with an awesome season! My personal goal was to become a versatile two position player. I play middle on my travel team, however because our high school team needed a strong hitter, I stepped up and took on the challenge of being the outside hitter. I mastered it quite well and helped my team get to the playoff level in several tournaments against competitive teams. My endurance, positional flexibility, desire to refine my skills each game and learning from mistakes are all what makes me a phenomenal collegiate candidate for any competitive team. I thrive off of competition, I like to play high performance teams so that I can become a better player.
What makes me unique is I am not the player that has been playing since I was in elementary school. I am a fresh arm, coachable, and always charged for the game. Which makes it hard for some to believe I started playing volleyball in 7th grade. After 3 years of travel I am now 16 years old playing Middle position for Epic United Elite 17U, which is a Top Level Elite travel team in Northwest Indiana. I also play Varsity at Homewood- Flossmoor Community HS as their Outside / Middle Hitter. In the pandemic travel season with Epic a United Elite season 2020 we placed #1 in WCPL earning out bid to Nationals before Covid and #1 at 2020 Wisconsin Winter City Classic. 2019 we placed #1 Nike Mid East Qualifier (MEQ) winning the gold bracket Championship in St. Louis where I played as the Starting Middle, 3rd Place in 2019 Windy City Qualifier and came in 2nd place in almost all of our tournaments where we played up in 17/18U divisions. And I reached my ultimate goal in 2019 of placing in Nationals (3rd place). Thereafter, I went on to have an awesome high school season as outside hitter, with several 2nd place tournament placements and making it to Regionals for Varsity this 2019 sophomore year season and played a short Varsity season junior year 2021 due to Covid. In addition to surpassing our 2019 goals, this 2021 travel season we placed #1 in USAV Nationals Division National Championship (Epic United 17U Elite.) I am in my recruiting year with hopes to be committed by fall 2021 and I consider myself a top prospect for MH/OH and welcome feedback from coaches for improvements and recruiting calls. I welcome coaches to email/text me for more information and to come see me play for my Varsity Homewood-Flossmoor 2021-2022 season or at showcases in the Illinois/Indiana area were you can come see me play.
