Personal Statement

My name is Charlotte Buck, and I am going to be a junior in the fall at Lincoln Way East high school in Frankfort, Illinois.  When I was going into 4th grade, I decided to sign up for volleyball.  I was fortunate to have a parent coach that was a high school state champion volleyball player.  He was an amazing mentor! At that time, my coach encouraged me to stay with volleyball because he saw natural talent in me, especially with the fundamentals. Since that first exposure to volleyball, I have been playing ever since! I have been fortunate to make top teams in both school and club as well as be nominated by my teammates/coach as Captain for Freshman A and JV teams at a 4A division high school. Everyday I work diligently to better my skills and support my teams (club or school) a defensive or utility player (DS/L/OH). As much drive and commitment that I give to volleyball, I do the same towards my academics. Through these past two years in high school, I have achieved the high honor roll status. As I progress through high school, my goal is to continue being a hard worker on and off the court!
