Alivia Keegan '24 Recruiting Profile

While no one achieves perfection or excellence, I aim to achieve it in all aspects of my life.  I carry a high GPA and I am currently in one honors class for this year.  Next year will be different as I am taking on additional honors classes in the area of reading and math.   I’m active in my high school, Genoa Kingston, participating in agriculture in the classroom along with multiple sports.  With the COVID pandemic ongoing, our high school volleyball season is just underway.  I’m on the varsity team and look forward to this challenge in not only practices but games as well.  I started playing park district volleyball when I was 8 years old and eventually joined a volleyball club team when I was 10.  During this experience, I became a versatile and authoritative player.  I aspire to work harder and outdo any expectations that are sent my way.  My main position is a setter, but I certainly have stepped into the role of playing all around.  This has included being a hitter on all sides, blocker and passer for my team.  Determination and Team Player are my two biggest strengths.  I am a go getter on the court and never underestimate a chance to dive after the ball and dig it up for my teammates.  Using a balance between intensity and excitement I am a competitive leader.  I apply this skill both on the court and in my schooling.  The strongest asset I display daily is my coachability.  I process the steps one at a time, and apply it to my game to push any skill to excellence.  My dream is to be able to play college volleyball while engaging in achieving a nursing degree.  So I’m looking for a college where I can strive for excellence not only on the court but off the court as well.  I am hoping that this dream of mine will come true one day.
