I am a senior setter and will graduate in 2012. I am in my 6th year playing club; most recently with Sky High and currently with Wildcat Jrs.; part of Northwestern University's club program.
I realize on paper I may appear to be less than the ideal volleyball height, however, my approach touch is 9'3" and I led my high school varsity team in blocks. I have mostly played a 5-1, however, I am also very comfortable with playing a 6-2. I'm often described as a dynamic setter with aggressive and balanced ball distribution. My varsity coach describes me as "running a very aggressive front row...she distributes the ball with a lot of confidence and she's playing with outstanding hustle...it's a dream for any coach to have a setter who is the hardest working player on the floor, she ran the floor with a lot of confidence and was distributing the ball equally to our attackers; she's very comfortable in this position and is very assertive as a setter".
Although I love volleyball, my priority is my education. If I can combine an excellent academic institution with a strong volleyball program it would be the ideal situation for me.
