I started playing volleyball when I was eleven years old and instantly fell in love with the sport. I love that it is a team sport and I love being part of a team because I enjoy encouraging and cheering my teammates on. I enjoy having to make a quick decision and getting to find empty spots to hit the ball. My favorite things in volleyball are when I block the ball and win the point and have a hit that goes to an empty spot on the court . I am the right side (opposite hitter) on my club and high school team but I enjoy playing any position in the front row.
I have had a very successful school season. I made my high schools Varsity team and had many victories. While on the team, I was a starting right side and improved on many skills. My team got 2nd in conference and won regionals. I am currently in my sixth year of playing for Mindset Volleyball Club and it has been a very successful start to the club season.
So far in high school, I am maintaining the 4.0 (and above)GPA. Ever since I started playing volleyball, I had my mind set on playing at the college level. I’m looking for a college or university that has great academic and athletic programs. I am hoping to attend a college or university that is closer to home but, I am open to any. I know that being a student athlete takes a lot of hard work and dedication and it is a challenge I am excited to take.
