Goal:
“My goal is to attend a university that’s not only aligned with my chosen career path, but also prepares me to play the game of volleyball at the highest level.” K. Bridgewater
Statement:
From the beginning of my sports career, my parents have instilled in me the importance of being a student athlete. Ever since my mother signed me up for volleyball in the second grade, I’ve loved the game. I had the opportunity to play for Huth Middle School for both 7th and 8th grade. Surprisingly, I was nominated the MVP award following my 8th grade season. As a freshman in high school, I had the opportunity to play on both the varsity and junior varsity levels at Rich Township High School.
I am grateful for the much needed support and guidance both my family and coaches provided throughout this process. I currently play for Extreme Performance (XP), a club team, where I am learning more about the game and improving my skill set everyday.
As far as academics goes, I have a passion to learn new concepts. I have been enrolled in gifted/accelerated programs throughout my schooling. My favorite subjects are science, math, and art. I was fortunate to maintain high honors, and plan on sustaining this status throughout my educational career.
Outside of being a student athlete, I am also a student ambassador for Rich Township, and I am actively involved in several community service projects. I plan to be a neurological psychiatrist in hopes of helping and improving the well-being of individuals in society. I am dedicated to improving every single day in order to develop into the best version of myself.
