Madison Richards '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Madison Richards, and I am from Princeton, IL.  My family is originally from the Joliet/Plainfield area, which is where I was born, but we moved to Princeton when I was only 4.

I have been playing club volleyball for 5 years, and school volleyball since 6th grade.  Every year that I have played club, I have been brought up to play/start on older teams.  Freshman year of high school, I was immediately brought up to start on sophomores, but I was soon asked to be moved up again and join varsity, which I gladly accepted.  Both years of high school volleyball, I was voted "Most Improved" by my teammates.  

Besides volleyball, I have also thrown shotput and discus since 7th grade, which was the same year I qualified for state for shotput.  In order to better my athleticism, I attend weightlifting/conditioning through my school 2 days a week.  I am also a member at my local Crossfit gym, which I go to 3 times a week.  I currently have a part-time job, where I work 16-28 hours a week.  On top  of all my extracurriculars, I always manage to do my homework on time and maintain a 3.8+ GPA.
