Personal Statement

Hello my name is Austyn Krueger. I am currently a senior at Vandalia Community High School in Vandalia, Illinois. I have always loved playing volleyball and excelled on and off the court in leadership and academics;I am an outside hitter at Vandalia High school. In the off season, I play on Greenville Gravity club team, where I play right side. On the academic level, I have a 3.97 GPA and am ranked 4 in the class out of 93. I took the ACT in June and received a 30 composite score. On the SAT, I received a 1680. During school season, I have started Varsity and played all the way around. Sophomore year I received the newcomer of the year award and was recognized as area's best in the Decatur Herald newspaper. Junior year, I received the Defense Award and was captain of the Varsity ; I was also recognized as All-Conference Second Team and was named to the Decatur All Area Team; We have a record of 24 and 5 presently, and just won Conference title! I have, so far, my best season and will continue to excel. In the first game against Staunton I had a game high of 8 kills. Our 2nd game I had 12 kills and 7 aces. My game high with kills was 14, and I lead our team with 52 aces so far this season. I also have 197 kills this season. As a senior it was just announced I made All-Conference first team! I hope to pursue a career in the medical field. I am known for bringing up our teams spirits in times of need due to my sense of humor and optimistic attitude. Our team just won the regional title (2012)!! On to Sectionals.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
