Kathryn Finnerty '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kathryn Finnerty, and I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade. In my years of playing volleyball I have primarily played as a middle blocker, but on occasion I have played both outside and right side, so I am willing to play anywhere. As of now I am still undecided on what I really want to study, but currently I am thinking something in the medical career; possibly therapy. Outside of volleyball I help my dad at work, and often volunteer in the community by helping with Big Brothers Big Sisters, our youth volleyball camp, and the Western Egyptian Food Drive. At Waterloo High School, I am involved in German Club, Marching/Pep Band, National Honor Society, basketball and soccer. On my high school team I started both my freshman and sophomore year. I would really like to have the chance to play volleyball at the collegiate level, and I believe my leadership, determination, energy, and talent would be an asset to any team.
