Volleyball has been a major aspect in my life from a young age. It’s my escape from the negativity in my life but my whole life at the same time. I started playing in 6th grade and fell in love with the sport. An effective turning point for me was when I made the junior high team in 7th grade. I worked really hard when no one believed me and I continue to do that to this day. Athletics has taught me many life lessons. For example, it has taught me leadership skills and being very competitive while having good sportsmanship. My main motivation through all of this has been my mother. She has supported me from day one and has made me the person I am today. My goal in life is to go to a prestigious school where I can grow academically and athletically.
