There are five kids in my family, four girls and one boy. I am #2. I'm closest to my little brother and love spending time with him. Community Service is very important to our family and we love looking for opportunities to help children and families in need. My older sister recently left for college which is a big change, but change is normal for us. Because of my big family I have learned to value teamwork, communication, patience and sacrifice. All carry over into my life in the classroom and on the court.
My mom played Division II volleyball and my sister played in high school. I was fortunate to be able to start playing club/travel immediately. During my freshman year I had a new volleyball coach in high school and we focused on building a solid foundation with a goal of developing a competitive program. My coach looked to me for leadership and saw me as a role model. Building a culture based on work-ethic, character and commitment were important components. I was excited to have a key role in that process as I continue to mature as a player and person.
I am looking for a program that will be a good fit academically and athletically. I believe my talent, discipline, character and leadership will allow me to make an immediate impact on your program.
