My plans for the future: I plan to attend college after high school as well as continue to play volleyball. My dream is to play for a big 10 school.
Hi my name is Saniya Spalding. I’m a junior at Merrillville high school in Merrillville Indiana and I am apart of the graduating class of 2022. I’m a middle blocker with a secondary position of right side hitter. Ive been a varsity starter since my freshman year. In 2018 and 2019 I was voted most improved by my high school team. I started playing club ball my freshman year under the guidance of Nicole kacer . I was also apart of the 2020 JVA watch list . As far as being more involved with the school , I am a freshman mentor. Volleyball has been apart of my life since I was in the 6th grade. As I became more experienced as a player my love for the sport grew, and now volleyball is my entire life. I am very committed to this sport. Many of my coaches and teammates will tell you I am a team player and have a positive can do attitude. I feel as though I am a very determined and dedicated athlete. I am always thinking of ways to improve myself. I am more than ready to take my game to the next level.
