My name is D'Asia Charles and I am a student athlete, determined, and hard-working. I play for my island, Grand Bahama and my school, Lucaya International. In previous years, I have been the junior girls volleyball captain, and I have won the best setter award for the whole island. I love motivating my teammates, leading my teammates, and supporting my teammates, win or lose. For Island League, I play for two companies, one that represents Co-Ed and one that represents Female., which for both teams, I play the libero. For School League, I play for senior girls volleyball and I play the setter. I participate in many athletic activities, as well as academic extracurriculars, which consist of volleyball, gymnastics, Model United Nations, GirlUp, Interact, TedX Youth and Junior Achievement (JA). In my free time, I love to jetski, kayak, dive and coach volleyball at camps. I have a positive attitude in and out of school and most importantly, off and on the court.
