My name is Kai Arens and I am a Junior from Bondurant, Iowa. I'm a multi-sport athlete, but volleyball is where my true passion and where I would like to continue playing at a college level after graduation.
I have played club volleyball for 6 years now. I started with a local club I-80 Blues and played there for 2 years and was asked to play setter and have grown into that role and also have been able to start hitting right side as well. I then moved to a bigger club in Ames and have been playing for Iowa Heart.
I am excited to play at the next level for the 24-25 club season and will be playing 17 Black for IPVA in Ankeny. Iowa. I am a lefty and find that to be a strength of mine when it comes to game play.
As a freshman I was on both JV and Varsity teams. Sophmore year ran a 6-2 and this year was the starting setting for the 2024 season! Also for the 2024 season I was 1st Team All Conference, All District and 3rd Team All State.
I have a GPA of 3.9, in Student Council , an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a Silver Chord participant.
Outside of school and sports I enjoy running, working out at the gym and spending time with family and friends. Physical fitness is a big part of my life as well, which I believe has helped me greatly in athletics.
I am looking forward to continuing my volleyball career in college and my major is to be determined.
