My name is Emma Brown. I'm a 5'6" outside hitter. I fell in love with the game of volleyball in sixth grade. From the moment I first stepped onto the court, I have had big goals for my future as a volleyball player. I am a firm believer in hard work and doing everything with a purpose and a plan. I believe that there is always something new to learn, whether that is in volleyball or my everyday life. I started volleyball at a relatively older age. Most of the girls I was playing with started when they were in first grade. With that being the case, it gave me a desire and drive to work harder than ever to get to their level. I have learned so many important life lessons in the three years I have played volleyball. A lesson that I will always hold in my mind and one that I believe is very important is that volleyball is a team sport. This means it is never just about me - I will always come second whether I am on or off the court.
