Alayna Akers '25 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior in high school, and have been playing volleyball since 4th grade. I truly have developed a passion and love for this sport over the years. My coaches, teammates, and family would describe me as an ambitious, enthusiastic, coachable, and driven player. I truly play with my whole heart, and have a big desire to be successful. They also might tell you that I am one of the biggest cheerleaders on the court; celebrating and getting to connect with my teammates on the court is one of my most favorite parts of the game. This is definitely something that sets me apart from other players. Not only am I able to stay focused during the the play, but also communicate with my team in moments of chaos.

I currently do not know what field/career I want to pursue in the future, but I know whatever I decide I will put my maximum effort into and strive to make myself better each day. I am also an academically driven individual, and push myself to do my best in school. Some current interests I have are business, marketing, and occupational therapy. I currently have a cumulative 4.0 GPA, and am ranked 1/65 in my class. To further my education I have completed various general college credits through local community college throughout my high school career.
