A huge factor in my college search has been a strong sense of community and pride throughout a student body, staff, and surrounding area. Seeing the school colors, mascot, or motto displayed proudly gives a sense of belonging that I think is really important to a school’s environment.
Being an athlete has opened so many doors for me throughout my life and it is something I will never regret. My passion for coaching, learning to thrive in leadership roles, and many of my closest friendships have all come from being involved in athletics. The influence it has had on me leaves no doubt in my mind that I’d like to pursue a career in the sports field. I’ve always been interested in being an athletic trainer or physical therapist because I love the idea of helping an athlete perform the best they can. Though, watching professional sports always gets me really interested in the management and marketing side of things.
