- AwardsMy academic achievements and awards include my 4.34 weighted GPA, academic excellence for four years in a row, I am a two-time Academic Letter Recipient, and I have had perfect attendance for the 2016 to 2021 school years. As well, I have taken 3 AP classes, with 2 more on the way, and I took the PSAT in April of 2021, scoring 1170. I took high school level classes as an 8th grader, which included Algebra 1, Government, Current Issues, and English II. Recently, I accepted an invitation to become a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.
- ActivitiesMy extracurricular activities include Best Buddies International for 5 years, volunteering at Meals for the Heartland for the past 5 years, a community service project that won me an award at my 8th-grade graduation ceremony. I was one of 10 students out of 346 to win the community service award at the graduation ceremony. I was in a group called FCA, which stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In this group, I was on the leadership team, on which we planned different worship nights, huddle events, and bonding activities for the members of the group. Furthermore, I helped a friend of mine with her Student of the Year campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and we raised over $35,000. I have completed 139 hours for Silver Cord by helping different organizations, such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Meals For The Heartland, and tutoring 8th graders in English and Environmental Science. Another place where I have received Silver Cord hours was assistant coaching 6th-grade and 8th-grade club volleyball teams through Roosevelt High School on Tuesday nights during winter 2021 and 2022. Last August, I volunteered to coach Pre-K all the way up to incoming 8th graders at a volleyball camp run by my high school volleyball program.
