My goal is to play volleyball at the collegiate level. When I think of college, I envision playing the sport I love and building life-long friendships with my teammates. Whenever I have attended recruitment seminars the speaker always said that “College volleyball is a huge commitment. If you play college volleyball your life will revolve around volleyball”. To me, that sounds perfect. I would have no problem playing volleyball every day because it is what I’m passionate about and love to do.
I have played club volleyball for 7 years, the first 3 with my school team I spent 1 year playing for Iowa Select, and most recently Iowa Rockets. With the Iowa Rockets, I have traveled to many qualifiers and competed in many out of state tournaments. My primary position on the Iowa Rockets is outside hitter, but play full rotation. At the end of June of 2019 I traveled to Indianapolis to compete at the Juniors Girls Nationals. This is something I was very excited about and it was an amazing experience. I also competed with North Scott High School Lancers volleyball team that qualified for state for the first time in 7 years. I started varsity at right side as a sophomore, and played full rotation as a junior.
My goals are to excel in academics to prepare myself for college. Hard work and determination will help me achieve my goals on and off the volleyball court. I love to play volleyball and enjoy every touch on the ball that I get. I am a firecracker on the court, as I bring energy to my teammates on the court and the bench. I desire to play for a college that will help me complete college with the skills to be successful in life.
