Personal Statement

My biggest goal would be to play at the University of Nebraska, I grew up in Papillion NE and so it just feels like home. On the court, I want to better to become the best I can possibly be for myself and my team. I am known to be a firecracker on the court, along with being on the floor a lot. Once I step on the court, nothing else matters because I like to win. Watching others succeed makes me excited because I want the best for that person. I am very loud on the court but that's just my personality, outside of the court I am outgoing, funny, and occasionally oversleep sometimes. I want my college to have a good education program, school always comes before anything else. Because I am studying medicine I would like their to be great oppurtunities to do hands-on work, along with working with people in that field. What makes me different from most is that to me, volleyball is more than a game; it's my whole life. The adreneline rush I feel when the ball comes over the net, and the feeling of blocking a ball headed straight to your face ,once I step on that court nothing will hit that floor. acedemicallly I always keep up, and Im not araid to ask questions or get help when I need it. I set really high goals for myself, making sure that I have prorities straight so it makes my life alittle bit easier. Volleyball is like my home, I play with people who feel like family, I develop realtionships with my coaches, and we lose and win together.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsI have been on the honor roll since I was in 7th grade. In terms of classes, my guidance counselor has enrolled me in Dmacc classes because of my grades and my ability to complete my work. In FFA, I've received an academic achievement for one of the highest GPAs which is something that is important to me.
  • ActivitiesOne of my favorite extracurricular activities in FFA, I love being involved with animals and being able to talk to people who work in the farming business. I'm also involved with a youth group on Wednesdays and it's almost like a break once a week. On the weekends I love to ride horses, be around my cows, and just be outside. I always try to keep myself busy because I don't like to just sit around all the time so hanging with my friends is always a must. Going to the rec center is a way to get out and exercise whether I go to the gym, play basketball, or even work on volleyball skills. I babysit during the week to make money, usually after I'm done with sports. School is obviously very important to me but I never put off having fun.
