Personal Statement

My plans and goals have always been about playing volleyball at the next level.  I love volleyball and I am a good team player.  I have started varsity since I was a freshman, playing middle and now playing right and left side.    In 2021 our team made it our goal to go to State and we worked hard together to accomplish that.   In 2022, we had a rebuilding year, and at the end of the season our team really came together and were one game short of State.   I am already looking forward to my senior year and making it a personal goal to help lead our team to the state tournament.      In club volleyball, I have played outside hitter and then I was moved into middle because of my height and abiltiy to block.   I decided this year to step outside of my comfort zone and try out for a whole new team. Currently I am playing middle and serving,   I have already found new friendships but mostly, new training, and challenges  to make myself a better all around player.  I think in volleyball and life you have to keep trying to better yourself and I am really excited to play with Nebraska Premier Volleyball out of Omaha.   Our club season is nearing the end.  In Kansas City we missed a bid by 2 points in the 3rd set, in the Championship game out of 92 teams.  We are going to Nationals in Chicago in the Patriot division, our team is so excited to finish at this level.

My brother Caden McDonald, was all American at Morningside College, in football,  and he showed me how hard work pays off in all areas of life.  I have two other siblings who graduated from Iowa State.    I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
