Jaylah Schriever '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jaylah Schriever, and I am a 2026 ds. I am currently a junior at Rockford Junior/Senior Rockford Senior High School in Rockford, Iowa. I have been playing volleyball since 4th grade and I slowly fell in love with the sport. With playing volleyball for many years I have went around and have played almost every spot on the court, so I am willing to play any position I am put in. During my freshman season I was the libero and sophomore season I was moved to outside hitter. I bring positive attitude, determination, respect towards everyone, and a strive to be the best player my body will let me be. When I make a mistake I want the next ball to prove to not only myself but my team and coaches that I'm not going to let my mistake define who I am. I am a very coach-able athlete and am always willing to go the extra mile to stay after practices to try to get better and fix my mistakes.

I would say that I am a very hard-working student. I have a 4.9 GPA in school and I very passionate on getting my work done. I take being a student first and then an athlete very seriously. Without having proper grades I am not able to pursue my athletic standpoint. I strive to always get my work done first before doing anything else. One of my main goals is to play volleyball in college, even if I do not commit to a college to play volleyball I will still be thankful for what my volleyball experience has given to me.
