The first time I played volleyball, I was in junior high and it was like a light got turned on. When I went to that first practice I just knew this was something I wanted to continue past high school. I have since been playing for four years and I hope to continue that. I have learned that I am a good team leader and I was able to find my spot on the team on and off the court.
Unfortunately, during the basketball season of 2019-2020, my foot got fractured. I played all the way through that season with the fractured foot. During the summer of 2020, I had been trying to heal my foot conservatively and it was not successful. Therefore, I had to have surgery. That meant that I did not get to have a volleyball season this past fall. I was heart broken that I couldn't play my favorite sport, but during the healing process it taught me so much. Like to have patience and faith towards everything.
From college, I hope to gain a good education and get a good foundation started for my future career and life. I want the college experience to be enjoyable and be able to say I like going to school for once.
