Volleyball for me is a sport that I have not only grown to really love, but has also helped me in many things even outside of volleyball and in my everyday life. Some of the things it has helped me with are skills like time management and teamwork. Academically, I challenge myself by taking advanced classes and work hard for my grades. I make time to study and do all of my homework for classes outside of volleyball and have a 4.0 GPA and along with being an Academic All-State athlete.
I am a middle hitter on both my school team and travel team. A few things I believe make me a great player is that I am coachable, versatile, and competitive. I love learning new things from my coaches to improve my skills and appreciate when a coach corrects my mistakes. Also, playing beach volleyball the last two years has helped me to be a pretty versatile player since we have to learn how to be a passer, setter, and hitter in beach volleyball. And last, I am a very driven and competitive athlete, and always try to do my best both on and off the court.
Going to college has always been a goal for me, but being part of a volleyball program at a college is something that I really believe will make me a more well-rounded student, player, and person.
