Madeline Gardner '25 Recruiting Profile

My volleyball journey began at the young age of 4. Growing up my sister, sarah, played volleyball throughout her high school career. She was the setter for her varsity team. I went to every game there was just to watch her play. However, it really was to watch volleyball. Growing up in a family that loves everything about volleyball sparked a fire inside me. I was the ball shagger for my High Schools team until i was finally able to join the middle school team in sixth grade. That is when my fire started burning. Ever since I began playing I have never loved and wanted something as much as being on the court with my team. My goals include being a good teammate, being a leader, helping others, be a role model to younger kids, and especially, winning. I am a hard worker who strives to be a good leader with a good attitude. Something I have learned throughout my volleyball years is that I control the ball. It does not control me. I have a mindset strong enough to boost up not only myself but others around me. Even though volleyball is extremely important in my life academics are too. I have a GPA of 3.91. I am a A and B student. Academics are just as important as volleyball is to me. This is what makes me a good candidate for your team!
