Hello, my name is Shelby Berry, I am a Junior at the Jackson County High School in Mckee Kentucky. I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I want to start by telling you a little bit about myself. I started playing Volleyball in the Sixth grade as a setter. Since then, I have fallen in love with the game and being part of a team. In sixth grade, I immediately advanced to becoming a starter for the Jackson County Middle School Club. Being from a small town I have had to find alternative ways to continue improving and becoming the best overall volleyball athlete possible.
During my off time, I volunteer as a Non-Paid Assistant Coach for the Jackson County Middle School Volleyball team. I am a team leader on and off the court, I always show dedication and always encourage a healthy Positive team environment as a teammate or as an Assistant Coach. I will always go the extra mile to become the best version of myself as a person, leader, and for my teammates. For example, I host free bi-weekly Volleyball workouts for First grade girls to Eighth grade girls who are seeking to play Volleyball for Public School, Home School or Club teams. During the volleyball off-season, I am attending strength/conditioning classes with personal assistance, and participation in skill/ training camps. The shortcoming from a small community I must travel seeking combines to showcase my talents and skills. Being active in Coaching Volleyball, Playing Volleyball and balancing workouts has shown me the importance of being academically sound. I have had to learn strong essence time management skills. None of this could be done without my parent's help! They have taught me sound life skills that will carry me to the next level in the classroom and on a college volleyball court.
As for my collegiate aspirations, I want to find the right balance between my faith, the volleyball court, and the classroom. I am looking for a college where I can grow as a player, person, and be a part of something special. After college, I want to return to my hometown and to continue to coach middle school and high school volleyball. I desire to help young women to achieve their goals by giving them an athletic environment where they can learn the importance of dedication in teamwork and sound life skills. I am always updating my profile with videos, stats, and workout videos to show my work ethic and abilities. My YouTube page is https://www.youtube.com/@Shelbyberry21 I am open to out-of-state collages if the opportunity presents itself. Please feel free to contact me at my NCSA account.
