I have played volleyball every year since 4th grade and have loved every second of it, maybe a little too much! I and my family even set up a net in my garage during quarantine so I could practice to my heart's content. The thought of volleyball not being in my life, well, I don't think about it a lot because it's a sad thought! Even writing this I can't stop smiling at how exciting it would be to play for college and be able to work with future coaches!
Striving to be the best version of myself has paid off as I have always gotten As and Bs and even got the opportunity to take the ACT in 7th grade (I got a 19 at the time)! Throughout my life, I have participated in many academic competitions and have won several awards for my school and for myself as an individual. I have played volleyball on a school team for 6 years now and have almost always been in the starting lineup, however, I still always strive to improve as much as possible so I have been to many club camps and am joining a club team in my off-season.
I have been and will always be eager to learn new things and new skills in life. I am fluent in almost three languages and am still learning more. If there is a problem with my academics or athletics I will always jump the gun to fix it! I'm open-minded and willing to put in the work and trust my coaches with whatever position they decide is best fit for what they need. As someone who used to get bullied for their height, volleyball is a way for me to feel like I am valued for it. I am a young, moldable, eager player who is willing to work hard to be the best I can be!
