Morgan Berning '16 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with volleyball the very first time I played in 5th grade gym class.  Volleyball has been a significant part of my life ever since.  I have a true passion for the game; the team dynamic, competition, strategy, and the pure excitement of just being on the court.  I want to continue this journey through my college years.

I am an agile player with good hands and a mindful, focused approach to the game.  I work hard to be a team leader and encourage my teammates.  I am a coachable player taking direction, but also relying on practice and instinct.  I am competitive and do not take losing lightly.  I am a determined player, who sets goals and then strives to accomplish those goals.   

In the classroom, I stay focused, participate in discussions, and work with my instructors to make sure I have a clear understanding of the subject matter in order to do well.  I have developed good practices to balance school and volleyball schedules, while also maintaining an outside job.  This work ethic has enabled me to maintain a high grade point average.  At this point, my career interests are leaning towards the health industry.
