Jaylin St. Martin '21 Recruiting Profile

     As a student-athlete, I've achieved several academic goals in high school. Recently, I was identified by AVCA as an elite rising star an placed on the 2020 Under Armour All American Watch List.  I was also elected as Vice President for the National Honor Society. I'm entering my final high school year with an overall  4.3 GPA and received the Principal's Honor Roll Award every year. I'm a member of the National Honor Society and  The National Society of High School Scholars. I am excited and determined to continue my education as a student-athlete and pursue my career as a Pediatrician with a Spanish Minor. 

     My passion for volleyball energizes me to be self-motivated, to play my best, and to give my all every time I step on the court. I've grown mentally and physically. After spending the entire off-season training and working out, I'm entering this season stronger and in the best shape of my life. I have enjoyed playing with my teammates and competing at the highest level. I am extremely competitive and have learned to be a more vocal Team Captain. For both Cabrini High School and Cajunland Boosters Club, I've excelled as a left-handed right-side hitter, as well as a dominant back row defender. 

     As Team Captain for the upcoming 2020 season, I except the challenge to improve my teammates mentally and physically. I've dedicated the past few months to strength and conditioning training, hitting drills, film study, and encouraging my teammates to do the same.  I'm looking forward to joining a program that's going to challenge me athletically and academically.
