Mishun Cornelius '27 Recruiting Profile

As a passionate volleyball player, I have always been driven by the pursuit of excellence both on and off the court. My journey in volleyball began late due to COVID, however, over the last couple of  years, it has grown from a hobby into a true passion that has shaped my character and taught me valuable life lessons. I am eager to continue this journey at the collegiate level, where I know I can further develop my skills, contribute to a team, and grow both as an athlete and a student.

One of the most important things volleyball has taught me is the value of teamwork. Every win is the result of a team effort, and I’ve embraced the opportunity to play my role in that dynamic. Whether as an outside hitter, middle, or opposite, I am committed to being a versatile and reliable player who my teammates and coaches can depend on. My ability to motivate others on and off the court has been key to our team’s success and has given me the opportunity to serve as co-captain of my varsity team as a sophomore.

I’ve dedicated many hours to improving my technical skills, refining my approach, enhancing my vertical jump, and expanding my volleyball IQ. I’m constantly seeking feedback from my coaches, studying game, collegiate players, and looking for other ways to elevate my performance. I believe that hard work is the foundation of any achievement, and I am committed to giving my all in every practice, match, and training session.

I am excited about the opportunity to compete at a higher level, to be part of a program that values hard work and teamwork as much as I do, and to represent a school that challenges me both athletically and academically. I am confident that my passion for the game, dedication to improvement, and desire to contribute to a winning culture will make me a valuable asset.
