Rachel Potter '20 Recruiting Profile

       Being an athlete is an important part of my daily life. I started playing volleyball when i was 11 and have continued ever since, putting great effort into succeeding in the sport. While also playing volleyball I am a three sport athlete who manages my sports with my academics, striving to succeed in both. Through volleyball I have learned how to be a good teammate, a hard worker, and a trusting player. I am also coachable and able to quickly pick up new skills and adapt my current ones to make them better. 

       Being a captain of my team gave me the ability to show my teammates what being a good player is and knowing they viewed me as someone they could come to for help. This gave me a sense that my team trusted me and taste of the leadership needed to play at the collegiate level. I believe I can compete at the college level and I know I will be able to put in the effort, and leadership necessary to step up to that level. I will bring what is needed for your team because I always strive to do my best and make sure to work well with my teammates and push them to do their best as well.
