Hi, my name is Alexandra Stuessi. I am in the graduating class of 2020 at Fairhaven High School, in Fairhaven Massachusetts. I have started on my high school varsity team since my freshman year. In the off season, I play for Smash Volleyball based in Newton, Massachusetts. I am currently on Smash 17-1 as a libero/defensive specialist. I am number 2 on that team.
Academics are very important to me. I currently have a 4.45/5 GPA and I am 11/170 in my graduating class. My goal is to further my education at a challenging school while continuing my volleyball career at the collegiate level. I have not decided what major I would like to study, but I am interested in math and science.
In the summers, I play beach with a variety of people including my dad, teammates, and others. I have been playing on the beach since I was 12 years old, and I can safely say there is nothing I enjoy doing more in the summer. I play in co-ed highest division (open) with my father, and with my other partners I play in women's A or AA. My proudest beach accomplishment was playing in the AVP Juniors invitational tournament in NYC. I will never forget that experience playing alongside Olympians including April Ross and Brook Sweat.
I am known for being a leader on my teams. I am outgoing, supportive, and have a positive attitude which allows me to get along easily with my teammates. I am a very coachable athlete, who takes feedback well and I look for every opportunity to play and improve my skills as well as gain knowledge of the game.
