I have been playing this sport that I love since sixth grade and I have yet to get sick of it. In sixth grade I was introduced to volleyball by my sister, who also played, and started doing after school clinics at the middle school. I fell in love with it the first day and decided that the next year, seventh grade, I would play club. I have been playing ever since then. I am very proud to say that my freshman year of high school I made the varsity volleyball team. I am very competitive, determined, committed, and I am very coachable.
In the classroom, I am a very good student. Most teachers like me because I step up and help out other students and even the teachers when they need it. Also, I have a good sense of humor and know which teachers I can have fun with! I enjoy working with my friends in class on projects and other kinds of work. I am the kind of student that gets their homework done right when I get home from school. My favorite subject has always been math and algebra especially.
In volleyball, I am a very diverse player. I started out as an outside hitter. Then in my eighth grade club season, I was a middle hitter because of my height compared to others. In my freshman year on the varsity team I was also a middle hitter. That year during club season, when I was on an elite team, my coach half way through the season talked to me about switching my position to a right side. Now, in high school I play on the right side and in club I get to play as a right side, middle hitter and I even got to play in the middle back.
I am also very proud to say that when i was a junior, my high school volleyball team went undefeated in our league and ended up winning the league.
