Personal Statement

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! I'm Sasha T. Selivan, a high school freshman with passion for volleyball. I'm a 15 year old setter on a U17-1 team on SMASH, one of the top clubs in New England.

When considering what sets me apart as a potential candidate for a top college team, I've approached it from the perspective of a coach. If I were in their shoes, I would seek someone who not only represents me as the coach but also embodies the spirit of our team and school. The ideal player would be a leader capable of guiding the team to a championship.

To meet these expectations, I understand the importance of possessing qualities such as commitment, responsibility, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. I work hard and I'm coachable, you will always find me diligently pursuing my goals, continuously improving my game, and relentlessly pushing myself both mentally and physically.

Beyond the court, I excel academically and I enjoy learning. I understand the delicate balance between academics, sports, and social life, and I am determined to maintain harmony in these areas.

Confidently, I believe I have what it takes to rise to the challenge and fulfill these requirements and more. I am ready to step up to the plate and demonstrate my unwavering dedication, not only to my own growth but also to the success of any college team I have the honor of joining.

   Thank you for your consideration!
