I was born into a basketball family and grew up surrounded by the sport in almost all aspects of my life. My dad is a former NBA player and a college basketball coach so as a kid I assumed basketball was the sport for me. I had played basketball since 5th grade and thought that I was destined to play basketball in college. Then I was introduced to volleyball my freshman year of high school and my whole outlook changed. Ever since then, I have fallen in love with volleyball more and more and made the decision to play volleyball in college. Having only played volleyball for two and a half years and achieved what I have, I believe my best days are still ahead of me. Although I don’t expect to grow beyond my current 6’2”, I do expect to keep growing on the court in the future. I believe that my love for the sport will make me a good candidate for any collegiate program because I am coachable and I will do whatever it takes to get better and reach my full potential.
