Hi my name is Payton Boswell. I am 16 years old and am a junior at Bay City Western High School. This year was my second year as a starting setter on my varsity team and I am about to start my second year playing club for Michigan elite (I spent the previous 3 years before that playing for the club team Odyssey). As a left-handed setter I portray many leadership qualities. Being a setter and a leader allowed for me to be voted as a captain for my school and travel teams. As a player and teammate, I am always positive and try to keep positivity on the court and I work hard to keep my teammates’ heads up. When it comes to volleyball I am also a hard worker. I give 100% each time I step onto the court and play to the best of my ability. As a player, I try to be coachable and listen to what I need to work on to improve and achieve my goal of someday being able to play the sport I love at a college level. These leadership quality has led to my success as a player and a teammate.
