It is important to know that my age, grade and club level don't quite line up. I am one year behind in school compared to my age/club level. When I graduate from high school in 2020, I will be 19 years old. I have been a starter on the Varsity team all three years of high school and I am currently on an 18 National club team and plan to play on an 18 team again next year.
Over the years, I have played a variety of positions. In high school, my starting position has changed each year to meet the needs of the team. Freshman year I started as a defensive specialist and setter. Sophomore year I was the starting setter and Junior year I was a starting middle. My coach has already told me he plans to have me be the starting setter again my senior year.
I have been playing club volleyball for five years. In club, I have also played setter and right-side hitter or middle depending on the needs of the team. In both high school and club, I often play all around. I love the game and make a difference when I am on the court with my positive attitude and effort. I am very dedicated and interested in pursuing volleyball in college.
I am a hard-working student as well. I am doing well with all A/Bs and a 3.25 overall. I care greatly about my grades and doing well in high school. I definitely would like to go to a great school. I have taken the PSAT but haven't taken the ACT or SAT yet.
