Making Varsity Freshman year was a very important step into my volleyball career. I got my first glimpse of a higher level of volleyball and couldn't get enough. Playing with against upperclassmen advanced me as a volleyball player, and showed me what I could be capable of. Where I will hopefully be in a few short years. Getting knocked out of districts in the first round was a tough blow for our whole team, but highlighted our strengths and where we needed some work.
That experience told me that I needed to work on my foot speed and aggressiveness with my swing speed. I always looked back on my video and saw what I made the most mistakes with. My offensive mistakes were made when I couldn't finish a play with a hard swing or smart tip. My defensive mistakes were when I wasn't closing the block. Both of these things played a part in us losing districts, and they're my main focus headed into travel season. I know where my problems are, and work hard to fix them. My determination and work ethic would make me a good addition to any team.
